The 3rd quarter project for the 6th grade consists of a group debate and a webpage.
Part 1: Group Debate
Your group will perform a debate in which each member will speak for 1-3 minutes. Each person will state their opinion on the topic chosen and support their opinion with facts researched. Be prepared to answer questions on your topic. You are allowed to use an index card during the debate.
Part 2: Essay
Based on the debate topic chosen, write an essay describing your position on the topic. Be sure to include an introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion. In the introduction include your opinion. The body paragraphs should support your opinion with facts. Post your essay on the page you have created. Make sure the page is appropriate and contains extras (images, videos...) which help support your opinion.
